5 more hoppers that look more or less the same as the others, but this time from Deukmejian Wilderness (above and below). They seemed to be feeding on Eriodictyon crassifolium (the pale plant in focus, above) but were apparently happy to consume the dodder tendrils I've been feeding the others. Hopefully at least some of them will turn out to be the rarely seen
Dyctidea intermedia (known from this locality)?
(it's not obvious in this picture because camera distorts perspective
slightly but the trail was very steep and full of somewhat scenic
changes in elevation)
